In my view, the real question is: what has @BernieSanders actually done for humanity, and who does he truly care about besides himself?

The AI revolution is a psychological revolution. That’s how I’ve been describing it. Why? Because even though you didn’t mention the word psychology once in your post, every one of the fields you mentioned is piped through the brain. The only way we have to know anything is through sensation and perception, and that includes philosophy and religion, all knowledge and experience is piped through the sensory organs and processed by the brain, where it is integrated into a semblance of reality, not reality itself.

My original post got enormous interest 100s of likes and more than 40 reposts and yet this post got 30 likes and 2 reposts: surely what the Pope said in the encyclical is far more important than the post that mentioned it's arrival? Given what the Pope had to say about how public opinion is being shaped, can you think why this is the case on #linkedin? These are the hard conversations we all must have if we are to have objective truth and transparency in the AI supercycle. Do you agree or disagree my friends. It is going to take a long time before hiring managers figure this out and they cannot be told this. They just assume you are full of it or are stubbornly clinging to relevance as a developer. Most developers will drop out some of us can just take a year or two vacation keeping resume/CV active and just travel the world a bit in th3 mean time while the industry learns to take their heads out of their rectal cavities.

Thnx for sharing your thoughts on this since that in itself moves the broader discussion forward in the light. It feels important that this encyclical now exists, even if many of us have not yet fully read or absorbed it, because it gives names, framing, language, and baseline positions to AI as seen through a specific lens…Christian in this case. Not because everyone must agree with that lens, rather because civilization-scale transitions benefit when major perspectives articulate how they see the moment, the risks, the responsibilities, and the opportunities ahead. Hopefully this also encourages other lenses to emerge with similar rigor, courage, thoughtfulness, and clarity from their own foundations and traditions, and helps widen the collective conversation rather than narrow it. Not necessarily toward full philosophical merger, history suggests that is unlikely, still even partial convergence matters enormously because civilizations rarely collapse from lack of intelligence, more often they fracture from failure to coordinate wisdom across difference. 🪞

The vending machine framing is the right diagnosis. The failure mode isn't the first prompt being wrong, it's not catching the moment the model went sideways three steps later. Reviewing as you go is the expensive skill, not the prompt. Building snapfast.ai exactly this way. The AI debate keeps getting stuck at the surface level: “good or bad” “ethical or dangerous” “tool or threat” Meanwhile, the real issue keeps shifting underneath in real time. The hardest governance problem may not be whether AI can think. It may be whether humans can keep up with reality as increasingly powerful systems keep running. Most people treat governance as rules written before deployment. But real-world conditions constantly change: * incentives shift * contexts evolve * legitimacy weakens * operators drift A system can still look stable and trustworthy while operating under outdated assumptions nobody is reevaluating anymore. That’s why calibration, contextual grounding, and runtime revalidation matter more than most people think. AI doesn’t only become dangerous when it breaks. It can become dangerous while functioning perfectly under outdated ideas of legitimacy. The future governance problem may not be: “How do we stop AI?” It may be: “How do humans stay connected to reality while machine execution keeps accelerating around them?”
