It is also critical to understand AI isn't performing human actions or processes, although AI proponents like to use words of human actions to fool people and confuse issues. For example, people recently claimed "AI reads in books, then writes new material based on that, just like a human!" Similarly, "People view art and get inspired, so does AI." This occurred in a recent court case using those words.
First, AI doesn't "read." Reading is a process where the operating mind thinks and evaluates each word and idea in a realworld sequential process. Feeding in, loading 5 millions books and images by the terrabyte isn't "reading."
Second, every person starts with a unique life experience that can add, interpret, influence edit. For example, people can write a unique story about their lives, upbringing, parents; or speak about an experience such as sitting beside a stream, eating cheese and raspberries on a blustery, humid day. This can be influence or create any number of art, image, writing, sculpture, or other creation, and do so in unique ways. It doesn't' depend on prior art.
AI can't do anything like that. But AI lovers want to pretend this human element and their real world experiences - that make every artist unique - is irrelevant, as an excuse to steal the work of others.
