@rusty dowd not really a good comparison since each method of transport accomplish different results for different needs. One is good for exercise and travelling short distances, whereas driving is used for more efficient transport to reach a further destination. Additionally, it still takes some knowledge and teaching to drive a car. Not just anyone can do it, or is capable of doing it properly.
Art vs AI generation, is use to accomplish a similar result. Simply generating an image doesn't require any knowledge of art creation or any of the principles that goes into learning illustration. Plus, it's becoming more of an issue as it's replicating the work of artists who have put in the effort to make the art.
