Hey - Just a computer engineer here. This is just a friendly reminder that the only reason chatgpt says what it says is because we humans told it to say it. When it comes down to it, they are giant math equations that take what you say as an input, run it through a bunch of matrix math that's called convolution - and honestly is not the most convoluted thing I have learned - and produces an output that you see, or in this case here. If you had all of it's training data and all the know how and time in the world, you to could work out what chatgpt would produce when given for Alex's responses.
The tldr is - Computers are not consicious. to do so - they would have to be magic - which they are not. they are just rocks that use advanced math to do things that trick you into making you thing they are magic.
