This "Godfather of AI" has some real troubling biases of his own, he lives in Canada which has exhibited very questionable politically oppressive behavior, I noticed the same Mo Gawdat with COVID and climate, and the "Excepted Science",...The trouble with many of these "learned scholars" is their self imposed limitation brought on by their own emotional response to world events and that these events influence or dumb down their contribution to science because of their emotional politics. They lack objectivity and peripheral awareness beyond their field of expertise and or those politics. If these people are training A.I. that's the real threat. All Geoffrey Hinton's reference as to a shared reality are based on liberal leaning mainstream media,.... he's already fallen victim to what espouses to be fighting against.
