This video is ridiculous. First it assumes that AI can do everything people can do and that is a big assumption. Second, it fails to explain the demand side of the economy. How can the economy grow without people buying anything? Third, it is another huge assumption that AI will not create additional new jobs. Current market trends with AI already show this is not true. Companies are slowing hiring and shifting their current employees to new tasks. Finally the costs of AI is far higher than shown in this video. Already many companies are realizing that the Capex is higher than the return they are getting on their investments. This is not to say that AI is not a valuable tool in the future or that there will not be some job losses but this video is basically just runaway catastrophizing.
