This is the first time I strongly disagree with your point. It won't be in a few years but in a few decades, when AI and robotics have caught up and surpassed humanity and thus have taken all possible jobs then there will either be a restructuring of society in this post labor economy by way of UBI or just pure communism, or there will be a violent revolution. In many European countries TODAY you can claim to have a disability and get housing and food covered along with a generous monthly allowance. Simply being obese, not morbidly obese qualifies you for this in the UK, and other areas like the Scandinavian and Nordic countries have systems even better than this. America is very behind when it comes to caring for its people and thus is far ahead of Europe in economic growth but when we finally hit a wall in which we don't need to torture citizens to keep up this growth then you either take care of everyone or there will be a violent revolution to take whoever is in power OUT! And I LOVE that you mention WallE bc Ive genuinely been debating with people since 2017 that the world they showed was a Utopia and the best outcome for us in the future. Everyone lives an average of 150 years and are pampered since birth so they never work and get to do whatever they want to. If you believe a post labor economy equals everyone living in LA homeless camps, what's your rebuttal to the revolution, especially since so many Americans have guns?
