"fair use" seems to imply limited use. As in content providers can't just imbed someone else's content without modification of some sort. With ChatGPT serving up whole articles upon demand, that rather negates the fair use excuse. Also NYT is mostly behind a paywall, so ChatGPT is essentially stealing from them
