I went to school, got a Bachelor’s in a stupid ass humanities subject. Hasn’t done much for me, feel like I let everyone (including myself) down. I think of trying to go back to school for additional degree/certifications but honestly it doesn’t seem worth it because of how AI is slated to wipe out so many jobs. I never saw myself as much of a blue collar guy, but I’m honestly considering looking for that sort of work because jobs requiring physical labor can pay and they should be safe for at least a couple of decades. More than anything, I’m just bitter because I feel like I was lied to about the value of higher education; with a few exceptions, college is practically meaningless.
