I can not consider anyone who discusses UBI as a serious person. We already have armies of people living under bridges and in homeless camps in every major U.S. city. Let's at least be clear-eyed and honestly assess the impact of AI. There will be a few winners (Big Tech) and a vast number of displaced losers. This is indeed a Revolution in the most fundamental sense of that word; it will upend everything. We are going to need to reinvent our economy and society so we do not all live in a neo-medieval country of Nobles and Peasants.
