For me AI can be used to enhance human life, not replace it. But do humans have the intelligence to do that. AI is built by humans, do we have the ethics, control, and understanding to look after our humanity, or will we destroy it. If the latter, then the intelligence is not there. There is nothing more unintelligent than the destruction of our way of life by using a technology that does not have an ability to preserve our ways of life. If the human race are to continue and be enhanced, there is a parallel.
Understanding of all human behavior and emotion, is something that AI cannot simulate. Preserving human life and removing the presence of something arteficial is paramount. When I cuddle my husband and give him contentment and love, that cannot be replaced by code.
