The healthcare benefits of AI already do not work.
I got a CT scan and was asked afterwards if I wanted to pay $65 extra to have AI look at the scans. That's the upside-down world.
They basically used an expensive, slower human specialist, then ask me to pay extra to have AI second guess their results in seconds.
That is not how it should work. They should use the AI as a fast first pass, and have an expert confirm afterwards.
As long our economy is based on the ever-growing profit pie myth any increase in efficiency will not result in better and cheaper, it will be used to line the pockets of those we already have the most.
I have absolutely no trust in AI self-regulation.
