I mean someone can be better at something than someone else without practice but in order for it to become a skill you need to pursue it. Everyone is different and has different preferences and ways of thinking and approaches and art quite often shows this with how vastly different the genra's and styles are because people took their passion and developed their own skills to reflect them. AI doesn't know what that is it just spits out something that resembles the words you give it. If you are using AI not as an artist too but rather as a visualiser or to generate concepts that you don't intend to pass of as your own work or use in place of art and it's purpose is just to convey what something or a functional character looks like I think that's more acceptable but shouldn't be used if you have the means and opportunity to work with a concept artist. But if you try to claim that getting a series of code to generate something that looks like the words you put in is you doing art that's wrong. You didn't do anything this algorithm that doesn't know or understand what it is doing made the image without any artistic intent as it was just fulfilling a function. Yes there can be a skill difference but that doesn't mean you can't work to get better if you actually want to get good at that skill. You can't claim that artists are an elitist group who were born with their skills especially in this age of the internet where you can attend art schools and actively see the development of an artists skills over time as they keep realising work. It's amazing how you can now with the internet see a timeline of how some people developed their skills for creation over time. AI is something that can never replicate or understand the heart and soul that goes into creation and neither can a lot of the people who use it until they wake up and smell the BS they have been eating.
