We barely have what would be called "dumb ai", what people are doing is basically putting a brick on the throttle of a bulldozer and letting it go, the machine doesn't know what it is doing or the implications, it just got x input and performed the operation, considering the input in this case has to go through endless spaghetti before it even starts to get executed I'd say it's amazing these programs can get anything done.
TLDR: the meat in the seat takes accountability not the tool the operator misused.
