I love how AI enthusiasts claim abilism to justify generative AI, that it makes art more accessible.
I struggle with a severe mental health condition, so much so that I'm considered mentally disabled and being an artist is my only income, thats been slowly stripped away because AI is cheaper and fast producing. Art accessible, its expressive and its my only option for having some semblence of success in my life which has dramatically dwindled in these past years, I can barely support myself or the help I need to keep functioning, I've had to skip meals, appointments with my psychologist because I just can't be cheaper or produce art faster than a robot.
So my question is if its ablism to dismiss AI generative art, what is it when the push is snuffing out the livelyhoods of handicapped artists?
