I think that these are two different problems. If we make super intelligent AI that has the potential to outthink the humans that control it, that will be an existential crisis for humanity.  If a bunch of people lose their jobs because AI companies over promise capabilities and fire all their experienced staff to hand things over to the LLM based AI that will supposedly keep their business running efficiently, that is a different problem with a much different approach to finding a solution.
