If AI replaces enough jobs to make UBI necessary, one possible positive outcome would be to free people to turn their individual passions into micro-businesses that wouldn't necessarily need to be highly profitable. Local arts could thrive if artists and crafts people didn't have to depend on making a profit from their work or spend most of their time working day jobs. And there would always be a niche market for handcrafted goods of all kinds in a world where almost everything is mass produced by robots.
