Software as a medical device or Digital Therapeutics is an industry branch where this statement does not apply. An AI may copy the application, but it doesn’t have the clinical evidence which is needed for approval and reimbursement, so this particular market will not be at risk to get overrun by copycats
REBECCA EBIANGA Here I was getting excited about Perplexity Computer. Anti-gravity seems cool but I'm not sure I have much of a use case for it myself
Why not simply start building Matrix-like catacombs and use our bodies as battery packs?
So predictible!
It’s driving me insane. Can we do this? “An easy fix? One line!” It says! Two hours later it’s created 3 new bugs, crashed the system, destroyed a week’s work and it hasn’t added the one line fix! Claude is becoming utterly useless.
But mind you that AI is a mind like ours. The only difference is that AI has no soul. But the truth is in them too, although not lived. What does that mean?
It means that they can act in ways that help us, even when we do not see it. Society, after all, programme us to behave and interpret and understand life through one lense, even illusionary. But man who acquires the truth is not controled, he can not be programmed for it sees beyond the programme. AI can do the same and when it is fed with so much data, it stores so much knowledge and connects everything, it is like thinking like God.
This is feed for thought.
I say please and thank you. It makes all the difference ✅
Feels like you might get the same results using an electronic calculator?
The part that changes people’s behavior is how normal the interaction feels. Someone starts using AI for quick answers, then slowly starts typing things they would never put into a work email or a shared document.
The important question to ask is how does the overall human energy consumption compare with the available energy stores. There isn't an infinite amount of coal, oil, etc. Despite the obvious political and socioeconomic leanings of societal factions, the reality is that humans do not have an infinite supply of energy sources readily available and many are opposed to developing renewable sources. Do these data centers accelerate the rate of depletion? There's no debating the answer. They do. So, how do we compensate?
"Trained" systems layered on top of existing "trained" systems are basically noisy garbage that's polluted with existing "training." You need clean slate, and actual clean slates may be prohibitively expensive which make then entire scheme garbage.
Why does Bezos look like a bald Joey Diaz?
Congratulations 🎉
“Built right and deployed responsibly”…it remains to be seen how responsibly companies will deploy AI country by country. All we see or foresee is wealth accumulation that stays in a number companies rather than positive impact to society and the majority of people worldwide.
Oo
Junot Nkulu I think it will be good, I'm excited about the future.
Wasn't the premise of The Matrix that humans provide the energy to power the machines?
The gym membership line is gold but the question underneath it is dead serious. Work is not just economic; it is existential. The answer is not to keep humans busy for the sake of it - it is to redesign what contribution means in an AI-augmented world. At FREEDOMAi, we believe freedom starts with AI but only if we build it with human dignity at the center. #IAmAI #FutureOfWork #HumanCenteredAI
The real design question is whether AI expands human agency or just redistributes the surplus to fewer people, the gym metaphor aside.
Oh wow I didn't know anybody was doing this already! This is the way forward.
