So Energym decided to give its subscription for free? If they have no money, you want them to sleep in your changing room? What kind of ad is this? The last customer you want to have is someone without money…

Theres some validation to it , we can already see some effects of AI on people making them delusional , knowing 5 % but overconfident like 100 % there's also strange one where people are having discussions with person A and excepting Person C to magically know what they talked about with Person A like some kind of Auto Chat resume and context transfer feature exists in real life... So on some level AI usage is definitely impacting people in some weird ways . Its either that or the people i interacted with were just genuinely retarted.

What does "using AI" mean?!? If you use AI to verify your ideas or to put them into practice, then your brain activity intensifies. AI does not always give you the solution directly. When you use AI to carry out a project, you must constantly verify the answer, ask additional questions, look for solutions to overcome the problems that arise, verify various solutions. When working with AI, it is not a passive activity but an active one. 🙄

Rebecca Human AI Trust Leader Yes and no 🙂 I think that, as you stated, AI can "re-solve" known (from training data) problems, in different variations. But it can also generate solutions that match for new (in the sense of "not been in training data") problems. Most likely this is not how a human would have tackled a new problem, but the result can still be of value, ideally checked, confirmed and utilized by a knowledgeable human. Furthermore, I disagree with "machines do not navigate the real world". They do, collecting and analyzing enormous amount of data for military and for civilian purposes.

This is exactly the conversation we need to have. AI should reduce human struggle, not human value. The future should be about collaboration between humans and machines — not replacement.

Show of hands. How many noticed that the same 4-5 $#%! CEOs are still running the show and are still redefining humans again and are still telling us what we cannot live with or without?

Pascal, are we designing AI around human flourishing, or just economic extraction? If the goal is only to remove people from the system, we may optimize productivity and damage meaning at the same time. AI should make humans more capable, not less necessary. That distinction will shape how healthy the next decade of work becomes.

Abundance without a redesigned role for humans is just unemployment with better branding. The spin class image captures that uncomfortably well.

The “work is not only income” point is the real issue. Most AI debates treat labor like a spreadsheet line. But people also need rhythm, contribution, and proof that they matter somewhere.

Yeah it's cute as satire but apart from the cute gym bunnies in their twenties where are the women & children? You lot go about building your empires and chatting about the energy crisis, meanwhile I'll still be ranting about stuff being left on the stairs, coordinating household schedules, picking up whatever middle-class musical instrument that is now all the rage for the young'uns, teaching my kids how to use cutlery, looking after whatever godforsaken animal now lives in my house, deciding what everyone's going to eat and buying presents that no one really wants. Honestly, it's like invisible labour is like, I don't know, invisible or something! When the fellas have decided what new fresh hell they've concocted to extract my labour so that they have time to make videos about getting jacked and surrounding themselves with young women, text me or something... or don't... I'm sure I'll get the memo that I need to 'step up', 'lean in', maybe I'll get a new 'syndrome' to cognitively and emotionally labour over, who knows, at this point kinetic energy generated by the collective eye-roll of women across the world is going to solve the energy crisis anyway, problem solved fellas 🤷🤦

Demis Hassabis despite the great advancement made on AI with artificial intelligence, when it comes to general intelligence it will never become more than the sum of its programmers for a very simple reason. Evolution has an advantage of millions of years and if we don't yet understand how the human mind really functions how on earth can the programmers expect more from AGI. Maybe I can help but then maybe not. Sometimes we bet on the wrong horse for the wrong reasons and leave the real winners out of the race as its complete outsiders treated as donkeys.
Funny. Thankfully humans don't do photosynthesis as of now. They'll still need food, energy, jobs. (and perhaps protein supplements as per the footage)
