@Leah_Newton Hank said that it is progressing faster than our understanding of atomic energy, that is just not true. The only reason you would say that is to make it seem like it is more interesting and powerful than it actually is. Instead of focusing on real dangers like the fact that they're convincing people to kill themselves SciShow wants to focus on a fantastical fear of them becoming a superintelligence which is not realistic with any modern models. This is not some attack on SciShow and Hank, I like them in most contexts, its just people hoping that they will correct their video since there are genuine inaccuracies. Nobody is saying he's wrong about everything and that you should actually listen to AI, my point in fact is that he gives AI TOO MUCH credit.
You don't need to get so defensive, criticism like this is foundational to educational fields. Nobody here is praying for the downfall of SciShow, in fact the point of criticizing them is hoping for their betterment.
