You could say I'm clueless for having this belief, but I don't think it will ever happen. AI is just code that does what it tells you to do, so I don't see how AI could become conscious with just an electronic computer. The only other route of consciousness I can think of would be creating real biological neurons, but then you just have a child. You could create a link between the biological neurons and the machine, but then you just have a child typing to ChatGPT. Which already exists.
