No one other than artists cares if it's bland or boring, you're forgetting that AI images will mostly be used in production in advertising, game assets, posters, animation, graphic design etc and clients don't care about the process, just the final product.
And AI models can generate any style of art and they're already close to indistinguishable from human art so the exposure argument doesn't hold much weight.
