I'm not disagreeing with you. But. You knew there was a "but." AI is a tool. Students need to learn how to use them responsibly. Professors like yourself need to learn and teach how to use AI responsibly. Some comparisons. You wouldn't expect anyone to make a modern car by carving wood chassis and wheels like its a motorized carriage. You wouldn't expect people to use a hand saw to shape wood for furniture or house framing. We use machines.
