I had the same feeling before and it wasn't because of AI art, grew out of it eventually. Why make art when there's tons of other artists that can do better than you, I didn't even have any artistic sense growing up why am I even doing this, making art is super easy nowadays that even kids on their phone can do better, tons of great artists on the internet why should I add my shitty art there, there's tons of art in the internet already that I'm bound to find something that fits what I want rather than make some crappy art, etc etc. If that's your line of reasoning then I think it's quite shallow.
