@GrantAUM We cant give them any emotions. The whole point of machine learning is that you dont design the machine, you design machine learning algorithm, and then the machine learns everything it needs on its own.
This is exactly why LLMs aret agents, ad therefore dont have emotions. Because the machine learnig algorithm behind it is about generation of text, not agentic behavior. Emotions and goals are properties not required for generation of text. So they cannot be present in a generative ai.
Of course LLMs are smart enough to understand agetic behaviour, like if you tell it to "simulate" an agent, it will predict what the goals of that agent are and generate actios accordingly. But that doesnt mean LLM has those goals itself, and even if you build an agetic AI system, powered by a LLM it may become a agent, theoretically, but we havent done that yet.
