In economics terms, when productivity gets better (i.e. lower cost for same work), the supply curve moves to the right on the Price-Volume graph of a Supply-Demand plot. Demand curve is not changing. But the result is, the new equilibrium is lower price for more volume.
This does mean, that if you’re providing the same service for higher cost, then yes your job is at risk. That means either you need to use AI as well, and/or you need to differentiate your service to be better in some regards, so that it becomes a different service you’re providing, either a different Supply-Demand relationship.
