In Silicon Valley for the last 5+ years streets in many cities are “filled” with cars loaded with sensors trying to learn how to drive autonomously. Way, WAY more companies than you’ve ever heard of are out there doing this stuff.
I think what I’m trying to say is, there are LOTS of companies working on driverless cars. That’s basically the future for personal travel. No reason to own a car just to have it parked for 22 out of 24 hours a day. That frees up a lot of real estate. And if everyone doesn’t have their own car that will in turn free up road space.
