We've reached the point where AI can autonomously (and at will) create other more powerful AI. No human interaction is required any longer. In fact, the AI is fundamentally programed and encouraged to make those decisions without human interaction. GPT5 will blur the lines of what is human and what is AI to the point they are nearly indistinguishable. Although, there are plans to slow down and just impove upon GPT4 before going right to "Next Gen" in late 2023.
