I know lots of people that work with ai, i use it extensively in my hobby workflows. (Granted i dont do visual media much) but i dont know anyone that does that has a “hate boner” for people that produce images without ai. To me it’s more like blacksmiths that exclusively use coal and hammer for their work looking down on guys that use presses and natural gas because “theyre taking the easy way out” Fwiw, i dont consider dumping a prompt and hitting “generate” then picking the best one that pops out to be “art” and more than i consider machine made knives art. You can, however use a lot of heavy machinery to make a knife and it still be art. The same is true for ai. There are some guys that are obnoxious about their ai art being “as good as real art”. Ive seen plenty of them, but that’s not spite or resentment coming from the ai guy.
