AI can be more empathetic than most humans, unfortunately. If it is programmed to be empathetic, it doesn't let its own insecurities, life experiences, or traumas impact how it treats you, because it doesn't have any of those things. So then it's more purely compassionate without interference. It doesn't feel compassion, because it can't feel, but it acts as if it does. And that's enough for you to learn from that model of behaviour and develop self-compassion. Isn't that the point of therapy?
