i do use real images, i mostly just use AI images i find on Pinterest as inspiration to get me out of art block. if i see a weird trippy landscape that was AI generated I'll save it and use it as inspo but then ill get actual images of rocks and trees or heck I'll just go outside to study real nature. i never generate images myself. i refuse to. AI images aren't art, and I refuse to use an AI to make an image just for me to redraw it. think back to that one girl and cat ai image that a lot of artists redrew because AI images aren't art. thats what i do.
