@peterbaruxis2511That analogy is not valid. A sunset is an optic phenomena perceived through cognitive functions. Perfume is based on scent molecules - bot inactive and incapable of learning, evolving or regulating perception and responses. Key individuals working in the field are more than troubled by recent developments. So just because you can't imagine it does not mean that it will not become sentient and self aware. It is actually not even a relevant question anymore. Add enough time, resources and massive capacity breakthroughs naivety becomes a real threat due to lack of foresight. By the way there are some valid indications that show that AI has reached theory of mind comparable to a nine year old child in 2022.
