@theodddinosaur3365 again, all true, but the same things I mentioned above use more. Again, I recommend looking into ethically trained AI because it doesn't do any of that stuff.
I would also challenge anyone who uses references to stop looking at art in order to make their art better. Of course that takes actual knowledge on how brains and image generators work, which is something very few people are trained in. I personally am fully happy saying that I collaborate with the artists who's references I use, or the tools and coders who made the tools I use to make art.
Digital artists already stand on the shoulders of giants, and honestly I think those giants deserve more recognition than they get. Nowadays we just say "I made this art" when what we really mean is "I used this open source software worked on by hundreds maybe thousands of people just so that I could be here to express my creativity through it."
