Who said you have to be Human in order to believe.
If belief if logic based, than certainly a computer should be capable.
One of the strongest arguments for real AGI is wether or not it's smart enough to recognize the Creator.
Assuming God exist - recognizing his existence and authority is the de facto litmus test of intelligence.
No wise person would willingly defy an all powerful God.
