Figma just released their own MCP which allows developers to take designs and convert them to code almost immediately. And Google released Stitch, which you can prompt for designs, which give native html, css, js, and also can be copied straight into figma. You can upload images for references and build out screens in Stitch.
So, the role might be to become a developer / designer hybrid like I am, and use AI as much as you can professionally (if you have a job, or temp work).
