I would hope that at this point it's public knowledge. I mean, a high performance gaming PC can draw upwards of 1kW RMS when running at full tilt--many gamers joke half-seriously about using their PC in place of a portable heater. It doesn't take a genius to realize that a modest AI server farm is going to run at megawatt scale and emit outrageous amounts of heat. That's another interesting engineering problem, even assuming we were able to safely produce a scalable energy source for data centers without emitting harmful chemical byproducts, or draining water reservoirs, the heat output is a form of pollution itself. I mean, the laws of thermodynamics illustrate that it's impossible to achieve 100% efficiency with any heat engine (which is a way we could model a data center), but there's got to be better ways to deal with it than to just dump it into the atmosphere. How else could we put that heat energy to use?
