@gege_heh3 AI's learn off other people's art, just like humans do. Like Stable Diffusion's base models have billions of images and each individual image doesn't amount to more than a few bytes of data. None of the images are stored on the model and they cannot reproduce any of the images on the model.
What happened with Sam was someone training a SMALL dataset on his images, but this isn't the fault of AI, this was a specific human that used the tool for something I find very distasteful.
BUT, this is also true of a Human was to copy Sam's style to the same extent. It's no different.
If you were using it as a reference and not claiming it as your own, using a small dataset would be no different than an artist learning style.
