Also, whenever Waymo gets stuck (they don't have a driver to take control) they ask the operator from the centre. The operator there then show the path to Waymo. But whenever this happens, Waymo is still in full control and could reject the operator's guide by its own accord. And whenever it contacts operator, the rider in the taxi get informed. So everything is happening within the knowledge of rider. Judging from the time and opertor from Waymo connect with car, it's rare or uncomman event unlike Tesla where you have to accelare or deccelarate every few miles.
