The real dilemma in the end is humanity’s obsession with the superiority of man. We fail to apply a critical moral compass to our views on all things worldly, and permit suffering to all existence because of our refusal to afford any accountability for the labor and suffering of animals, “lesser” humans, and machines. If we wait for general consensus before treating anything outside our view of what constitutes as human consciousness with any kind of respect, then it will be completely and utterly natural for all worldly elements, including machine, to seek an end to the bane of humanity.
