@someonesgoat it's not intelligence though. Only this new buzz which is tantamount to marketing is forcing this concept. Will it be able to perform trillions of calculations in a fraction of time, yes. But it's still programming. Elon Musk can't even make his cars drive themselves. Youtube can't even create a decent algorithm. The release of that AI chatbot a few years ago proved the point that AI can't differentiate between garbage input and valid input on it's own. Intelligence requires awareness (consciousness) to be truly adaptive. This hysteria is just to drive (a gold rush) narrative for funding and investment, with a goal of also making people believe that the true threat to the future of humanity isn't the humans running it. Even after the invention of nuclear weapons, it was immediately realized that controls were needed (multi-factor verification/authentication) due to the potential threat to human existence, so the idea that computer scientists are unleashing a technology that would make future Roombas realize the quickest fix to a dirty carpet would be to burn the house down so there are no more dirty carpets is the true science fiction.
