Like I said regulations make sense and are far easier to achieve. It's the desire for outright banning of research and development entirely that i disagree, and is not realistically achievable (on a global scale). It actively hurts the attempts to get proper regulation if those who have negative views on AI aren't willing to negotiate or compromise and only seek an outright ban of anything with AI in the name. You end up getting nowhere and no regulations ever get passed like that so it gets to run unchecked for far longer.
