Agreed. The general disdain towards philosophy present in the tech scene makes most of these discussions extremely frustrating to watch for anyone who studied philosophy in the pre-tech bro era. The approach that leads to good philosophy is anathema to the silicon valley mindset. Most of these guys dip a toe or two into one philosophical theory of the mind and call it a day.
