the video doesn't convince me. when an actor acts out a character, that actor also needs to consider the emotional state of the character to have a convincing delivery. there is nothing to suggest that what the ai is doing is actually any different from that.
i wonder - if you were to train an AI on positive emotion text only and then went and extrapolated where the negative emotions would be and injected them, would the ai be able respond as if affected by negative emotions? personally, i don't think so.
