What's "cringe" is the obvious ignorance about WHY AI "art" is hated! Here's a hint: it's NOT be because it's new technology, it's because it's being used to STEAL art! Because the AI is just remixing the art it's fed, WITHOUT the original artists permission or consent, in such a way that it's basically copying the original artists work and then taking credit when they did nothing but tell a program some buzzwords. We wouldn't have much of a problem with these programs if they couldn't hide what they sampled from, so we could prove someone was stealing art or not. Because we can't prove it, THEY can't prove they DIDN'T steal it, so all AI art is suspected to be stolen and must be proven otherwise.
