Braelyn Mitrovic actually, I wouldn't be too sure about that. Most tech ppl and AI folk are really bad about real biology. And probably the neuroscientists in the project only concentrate on the detection thing as well.
I'm in the tech field myself, working with bio-Inspired algorithms, I have *zero* education in real biology and I have no colleagues who are real biologists in my projects. We're only working with technical systems, so using bio only as a metaphor to optimize our stuff is ok, but I know how these advanced research projects go. Often ppl on there are all way too specialized and common sense gets to take a back seat. Esp if there is a conflict of interest with the company that wants to produce these things or the customer (in this case: China who *wants* this bc they hope to gain more edge in education).
