@MetsuryuVids "I'm a bit disappointed that they didn't talk about instrumental convergence explicitly." So true. As a layperson, that was probably the easiest concept for me in understanding why AI might end up getting rid of us all without actually hating or placing moral judgement on us, or any of that human stuff. But again, there was this rather prominent podcaster, who I still think is a smart guy in some ways, who just couldn't see how AI will want to "self preserve."
And to your list I would definitely add Roman Yampolskiy.
