I have never said that Shad is right, or that his take on AI art is something to be celebrated. I agree with some of your points, but still believe that AI art will actually elevate real artist(s) - they have unique style, take (etc) ergo their work is "art" versus "mass production".
We already had this "crisis" when automatized line/production was put in place. All those craftsmen/carpenters were worried that their work is at the end, yet it wasn't. Opposite was true, their work was elevated and now I'm happy to pay a small fortune for custom made table.
And truth be told, yes I think sometimes Shad (and his crew) are needlessly bitter when talking about cinematography and politics. Moreover incorrect and biased (but that's another topic).
