Making the art is the whole point of art. When making a piece I feel things, and at the end I can look back at it and can proudly say "I did that!", even years down the line. It's an achievement, an accomplishment you can have fond memories of.
What do AI bros' get out of it? Five seconds of dopamine they will forget about in less than an hour. It's just a means to an end for them, with no appreciation attached to what they requested to be given.
