The graph at 5:27 IMHO tells the story of fiat currency (inflation) as the USA broke the gold standard in 1971... Compare today's wages measured in long term gold prices and you'll be shocked at how badly the working class has been fleeced. Compound interest is one of the wonders of the world and it has been used to transfer wealth to the capital class. This was then magnified by neo-liberalism and globalization. IMHO current AI is another way of transferring wealth from the citizenry (tax cuts, bursting bubble, etc.) to the oligarchy/kleptocracy.
