This is one of the most half-baked videos I’ve ever seen. The logic presented is painfully naive: AI takes over → operational costs drop → profits soar → stock market rises → unemployment rises. It completely ignores the most fundamental economic feedback loop: mass unemployment means mass loss of consumer spending. In that environment, demand collapses and markets don’t rise, they fall. Who’s left to invest? Only the desperate trading their last savings, the already wealthy, and algorithmic firms. And even that would be short-lived. It’s far more complex than this video suggests. If AI truly takes over, businesses won’t have customers it doesn’t matter if you own oil rigs, diamond mines, or tech platforms. Money would lose its meaning almost overnight. This isn’t about the rich getting richer. It’s about the entire global economy collapsing because money no longer holds value. Crime explodes. At some point, grocery stores simply won’t have food because why would any company produce it if it’ll just be stolen or go unsold? Take the example used in the video: what if YouTube and other platforms become fully AI-run? Assume widespread job loss leads to collapsed consumption. Companies would slash ad budgets marketing is the first expense cut in a downturn. YouTube’s revenue dries up. Creators lose their income, too. Even “AI-proof” creative jobs aren’t safe when the economy that supports them vanishes. And who protects you then? Who stops ten people from breaking into your home and taking it? AI police? AI lawyers? Who builds and guards the prisons as crime surges? Who tends to the sick when hospitals have no staff and money has no value? This isn’t a coherent dystopia it’s a fairy-tale collapse with no logical through-line. The more you think it through, the clearer it becomes: if the economy fails and money becomes worthless, no amount of wealth will save anyone. Work/Business itself would cease to make sense. Illness would spread with no one left to care for the sick. One thing is certain: governments worldwide would act long before we reached that point. They’d intervene to keep the system balanced because if they didn’t, this is exactly where we’d end up. And worse. This video doesn’t inform. It just fear-mongers with shallow assumptions and ignores the real, brutal, cascading consequences of the scenario it describes.
